So what is the definition of handling? To me, it is the way the car responds to corners; therefore, steering wheel feedback is implicit in determining this. Or is it how smooth the ride is? The passenger in this commercial comments on the way the Fusion 'handles' the winding road. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

FUCK that ad.
You can have nuts with out bolts, and bolts without nuts. There are studs and threaded parts. Fuck you ad company.

I would agree with you. It's impossible to know how a car handles without being the one driving it. How it responds to steering input, brake input, etc, as well as how it communicates with the driver all goes into the "handling" aspect of a car. It's why I hate people simply citing skid pad numbers without having actually driven the vehicle they are talking about.

The Camry is a fucking M5-killing sport sedan if advertisements are to be believed.
But when I got my Focus I took an off ramp way too fast but it stuck it and my friends are all like "Woah this thing handles mad good yo!"

Handling is like aerodynamics. Everything has some form of those qualities. Just depends on what traits the designer wants to bring out.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw that ad. It is for sheep who hear "handles" and think it will drive like one of those nascars they see on tv.

Is this one of your friends? Are you Heisenberg?

Close, but a little less white. More like white sunglasses than a striped skull cap, you know?

I said the same thing to my Fiancee about that commercial. You can't tell how well a car handles from the passenger's seat! Stupid stupid ad.

A passenger can feel how much the car rolls or squats versus the forces involved, how quickly it changes direction, how well it handles bumps, etc...

Yeah I agree, but that is why I was asking, because what you described is what I would call 'ride quality.'

M5.
Like: Twin Turbo V8, Manual, German Handling
No like: Not grounded to the ground. HP not as good as 'Highway Passings'
Advantage: Camry. I know what I'm buying this christmas!

Ext. standard Leather is free. Full leather is 3k. Individual (non-pale grey, black, or red) extended is 5k. Full Individual is near 7k. REAL individual with whatever color you want exceeds that.
Crazy, ain't it?
